New Years Eve Day | Leashton

leo-shaw:

Leo sighed at Ashton’s half-hearted answers. “We both know very well that that’s not what I’m talking about. I can tell there’s something else you’re not telling me,” he said, narrowing his eyes and dropping his hand from Ashton’s chest. He couldn’t help but laugh, however, when he mentioned Leo having not gotten dressed yet, but instead sitting in Ashton’s lap. “Oh, does this bother you?” he winked, indicating his nether regions, knowing Ashton wouldn’t be able to help but look where he was pointing. “Seriously though,” Leo continued, taking on a more serious tone. “What else is bothering you? We both know I’m not getting up until you tell me.” The corner of his mouth turned up at this, as he went on to say, “Don’t bother trying to lie; I can see right through you.”

As Leo listened to Ashton’s reply, he got distracted yet again by the face that was so close to his. He was still listening intently, but his eyes started wandering, noticing the light sheen of sweat on his brow, the short-but-sexy stubble on his chin, the very defined jaw line. Leo’s eyes kept drifting down, onto his neck, his toned pecs, his tense biceps, his flat stomach. He took in every detail of Ashton’s body as he listened, knowing he was being pretty obvious about it. He brought his eye’s back up to Ashton’s when he had finished staring at the beautiful man before him, ready with his reply.

Ashton sighed as Leo pushed it. There was no way in hell he was getting out of this one, that’s for sure. He could dodge this question with vague answers and half-hearted jokes all he wanted to, but it was fairly obvious now that Leo wasn’t going to let him continue to get away with it. He knew at one point or another he would be cornered into answering it, and he might as well consent to it now. But then Leo was winking at him and gesturing, and of course his eyes followed the movement without thinking, and then suddenly his gaze was snapped back up, a faint blush creeping up to his neck as he shot him a weak glare. “Cute,” He snapped sarcastically, though it didn’t hold all the threat to it that he would have liked, considering he was having a hard time trying to stop himself from turning totally red at the moment.

As Leo told him that he wasn’t leaving until Ashton told him what was on his mind — for real, this time — he glanced away briefly, trying to figure out the best way to phrase it. He had already given in and realized he was fighting a lost battle trying to out-stubborn Leo. He finally turned back to him, a carefully thought out reply on his tongue, though it quickly died when he noticed the way Leo was looking at him. It wasn’t a guarded look, and it was pretty obvious that he was checking Ashton out. But just the way he looked at him…it made him feel like he was something to be desired, whether it was only for his looks or not. Now Ashton didn’t have self-confidence issues, but Leo was looking at him like he appreciated every last part of him. “That’s bothering me,” He blurted out before he could stop himself. But the words were out there now, and he knew he would just have to move on with it, so he did. “You used to be such an ass to me, and sometimes you still are.” At this, he gave him a pointed look before continuing. “But then you do stuff that just confuses me. Like…why did you, ah, kiss me outside my room that night?” He desperately wanted to look away from Leo for this conversation, but it was hard to do so, considering he was quite literally on top of him and really had no other places to look. “I mean, I get why we kissed at the bar - testing the waters, so to speak. But…why again? We’d already established that I’m very much inclined towards liking guys. So why did you kiss me then?”

New Years Eve Day | Leashton

leo-shaw:

As Ashton replied, Leo continued to study him. He knew that it made Ashton uncomfortable, but it was the best way that Leo knew how to help someone. People can’t always describe exactly why they’re feeling, or sometimes they just won’t, so being able to read them is very useful. And if you know exactly what someone is feeling, it’s much easier to try to help them.

So as Leo was studying Ashton, he got the feeling that it wasn’t just his sexuality that made Ashton so confused. No, it was something else. Something about… them? The two of them? Perhaps he was confused about how he felt about Leo, or how Leo felt about him. Yes, that was definitely a part of it. Leo’s eyebrows furrowed in his own confusion. Why was Ashton confused, and why hadn’t he said anything to Leo about it? “You say that you know you can talk to me about anything, but I get the feeling you don’t fully believe that. There’s something you’re not telling me,” Leo said, getting back into that therapeutic state he was in the last time the two of them had talked. He let go of Ashton’s face, moving one hand to his chest instead. “I mean it when I say you can tell me anything, and I want you to believe that. What aren’t you telling me? What else are you confused about?”

When Leo asked him what he was still confused about, Ashton frowned, wondering why it was all so important to him. There wasn’t anything for Leo to gain with this information, and he doubted it was any fun having to play therapist to him. “I’m confused about a lot of things,” He said finally. “Like for one, why people drive on the opposite side of the road here. Or what fish and chips are. But mainly, I’m confused about why you’re still not dressed and sitting on my lap like that.” He looked over at Leo for this one, his eyebrows raised in question. Well, he had asked what he was confused about, and that was certainly one of the things. The fact that Leo was still undressed amazed him, but not more than the fact that Ashton hadn’t lost his control yet and picked up where they had left off a few nights ago. Because really, what was he supposed to do when he had a half naked body on top of him? And yet here he was, holding his own very well despite everything else.

Cheering Up || Jeremy & Ashton

jeremy-lewis:

Jeremy smiled that same faded smile he was able to put on once more. He didn’t know what else to do, but smile. That’s all his mind would allow him to do at this point, and it’s all that seemed right in his head. Smile. He told himself. Just smile. It’s all you have to do. Even if it might be a fake smile, stay positive. Telling himself over and over, Jeremy didn’t know what else to say. He was at a loss for words, mainly because of the traumatizing incident that had just occurred with his father. He looked around his room, trying to find something to eat for the both of them, thinking that Ashton was hungry now. “Would you like something to eat?” He asked politely.

Awaiting Ashton’s answer, Jeremy heard his phone ring. The Hospital… Oh… Joy… He thought to himself as he checked the phone. He pressed pause on the movie and stood up, starting to pace back and forth in front of the television. “Yeah.. This is Jeremy..” He started as the conversation began. “Oh.. Really?” He sounded sadder by the moment. “Alright… Thanks…” He said as he quickly hung up the phone and pocketed it. He looked at the floor as he felt the stream of tears welling up again. “They… They don’t know if they’ll be able to operate here in London.. They might have to send him to Rome.” He said as his eyes shot back to Ashton’s gaze.

Jeremy then walked calmly to a wall and punched it. The cement wall had caused the bone in his hand to break a bit. “Fuck!” He screamed, not expecting it to hurt that much. The wound had now began to bleed uncontrollably. He panicked. Looking back and forth to see what he could wrap his hand with quickly. He finally ran into the kitchen and grabbed a towel to wrap his hand with. He now had no idea what to do. He looked to Ashton for guidance once more. “What do I do?” He asked as his voice shook tremendously.

Jeremy seemed a little more upbeat and cheerful, though Ashton was sure it wasn’t completely real. Nonetheless, he did seem a little more relaxed, and he was just happy he was even slightly better from before. When he asked if he wanted something to eat, he shook his head and smiled slightly. “No thanks, I’m fine.” He answered, settling himself further back on the couch. “I’m not -” His answer was cut short though by Jeremy’s phone ringing, and he watched carefully as Jeremy started to pace in front of him. The conversation obviously wasn’t going well, if Jeremy’s tone was anything to go off of. So when he hung up and faced him, telling him the news of his father, Ashton’s heart sank.

“Jeremy…” He said softly, starting to stand up slowly off the couch to make his way over to his friend. He had planned on going over and just holding him, and maybe trying to maneuver him into a chair, but before he could even finish standing, Jeremy had walked over to a wall and punched it. Ashton froze, completely taken off guard, as he heard Jeremy scream in pain. His eyes flickered briefly to his hand before away again, swallowing dryly at the sight of all that blood. He was still stuck when Jeremy directed a question at him, obviously looking for answers. And so he straightened up finally, making his way quickly over to Jeremy and his (most likely broken) hand. “You’re not doing anything now,” He said firmly. He was glad that at least he sounded sure of everything he was doing, even when in reality he had no clue. “I’m going to drive you to the hospital and we’re going to get your hand checked out.”

You guys are following me and I’m just really, really confused.

lily-wagner:

Well, that’s a good thing. If you guys were actually following me it’d make me really sad. Sadder than a sad panda. But he was a nice guy. His name was Bob and sometimes after school he’d share his stinky cheese with me. Gouda’s kinda gross though. I don’t believe you! They rhyme so they have to be the same thing.

Bob sounded…er, nice? But your dad was probably right. I don’t think he was following you around because he loved you. And Lily if we use that logic, than fleas and cheese are also the same thing, since they rhyme too.

lily-wagner:

I don’t get it.

Well okay, first off we aren’t actually following you. That’d be really creepy if we were, like you stated with your…rather interesting hobo story. And I don’t think making out is exactly the same as working out.

You guys are following me and I’m just really, really confused.

lily-wagner:

Are you like, actually following me? Cause that’s not cool! One time when this hobo followed me home from school every day for a week my dad told me obsession isn’t love and that I should tell him to go away. Or is it that you guys just wanna make out? I know Paige said making out with random people is bad and stuff but I read somewhere that kissing burns calories. So, it’s practically a work out. And working out is a good thing, right?

There’s so many things wrong with that that I’m not sure where to start.

Cheering Up || Jeremy & Ashton

jeremy-lewis:

Jeremy chuckled a bit as the tears still fell from his eyes. “Cheesy but thoughtful..” Jeremy said, sounding like he was already getting better. “You’re right.. I can’t think of the worst. I must be positive..” He said, trying to lift his spirits. “After all.. Dad will make it…” He said as a slight smile came across his face. He wiped the tears from his eyes quickly. He hated crying in front of other people, but if he had to cry, he didn’t care as long as someone he knew he could trust was there. He looked back to Ashton and smiled as much as he possibly could. It wasn’t more than a feint smile that soon faded, but it was a smile nonetheless.

“So..” Jeremy led off as his words got lost through his mind. The mess of his thoughts were now starting to piece themselves back together slowly. He was starting to think clearly once again. All thanks to Ashton. He look into Ashton’s eyes gratuitously and hugged Ashton tightly, not wanting to let go. He then remembered that the movie was still playing, and didn’t want Ashton to miss it. He released Ashton from his grasp, and turned back to the television where the movie had been playing at. He was still sitting comfortably under Ashton’s arm, and he rested his head on Ashton’s shoulder. At the moment his cheek touched Ashton’s shirt, Jeremy realized that it was soaked. “I’m so sorry..” He said, referring to the shirt. “I’ll get you one of mine.” He said, thinking as positively as he could.

He stood up and walked to his jet black dresser in the corner, grabbing one of his black T-Shirt’s, and handing it to Ashton. He looked away so Ashton would feel more comfortable changing, and when he finished, looked back into Ashton’s caring eyes. Jeremy’s eyes screamed that he didn’t want to be alone tonight, and his mind completely thought the same thing. “Ashton…” He said innocently. “Could you stay here tonight?” He asked as if not knowing if it was bad or not. “I don’t think I could be alone tonight..” He explained what he meant by staying the night.

“That’s the spirit,” Ashton said, smiling at him as he seemed to brighten, even if it was only marginally. When Jeremy offered him a smile, he had to stop himself from positively beaming at him. Even if it had been only the ghost of a smile, he still counted it. The fact that he had been able to make him smile at all was considered an accomplishment in his book. Ashton liked to make people happy, and seeing Jeremy seem even the tiniest bit happier was enough for him. As Jeremy went in to hug him, he hugged him right back, patting his back gently at he did so. But then Jeremy released him from the hug, and the two of them settled back onto the couch to watch the movie. But he didn’t get far before Jeremy was up and talking about getting him a new shirt. “It’s fine,” He tried to call after him, honestly not bothered by the fact that his shirt was wet. But it seemed to fall on deaf ears, and the next thing he knew he was being handed one of Jeremy’s shirts.

Deciding not to fight it, he simply pulled off his shirt and slipped on Jeremy’s, noting with a hint of amusement how it was slightly bigger on him than it was probably meant to be. But of course that was bound to happen - Jeremy had a few good inches on him, so he hadn’t exactly expected it to be a snug fit. Nonetheless it was comfortable, and that’s all that mattered at this point. “Thanks,” He said, smiling briefly up at him. He was playing with the hem of the new shirt when Jeremy said his name, and he stopped to look up at him curiously. There was something off with him again, but this time it seemed more like something that was worrying him - something different from his father. Or maybe they were connected. He wasn’t too sure - Ashton had never been that great at reading people. So when Jeremy asked him to stay the night, he hesitated only briefly before nodding. “Of course I will.” He said, his voice confident. What kind of person would he be if he left him alone? And anyways, he knew he couldn’t do that Jeremy. If he was in this position, he knew he would have wanted someone to stay with him. It was only fair that he helped his friend out when he needed him most. “I’d be happy to stay the night here.”

New Years Eve Day | Leashton

leo-shaw:

Still distracted by Ashton’s cheek, Leo was brought back to reality by the sudden heavy beating of Ashton’s heart, which he could feel quite easily considering their close proximity to one another. He wondered why Ashton was still feeling so nervous around him, especially at such a simple question. Had the kiss and talking not improved their relationship whatsoever? Ashton’s reply hit Leo even harder than the beating in his chest. “Confused? What are you confused about?” he asked, bringing up his second hand to the other side of Ashton’s face, which he turned towards his own.

“Leo looked deep into Ashton’s eyes, trying to read him as best he could, but there was so much swirling around in Ashton’s mind that it was hard to pick anything out. There was definitely some lust in there, but that wasn’t the only thing. Still looking into the chocolate brown discs, he asked, “I thought we figured out what you were feeling the other night. Why are you still confused?” a worried look came onto Leo’s face. “I hope you know that you can tell me anything. That you can tell me everything you’re thinking about right now, and that I’ll do my best to help you figure it all out. I don’t want you to be confused anymore, I can tell you’re getting tired of it.” He looked back and forth between Ashtons eyes, waiting for his answer.

Ashton looked back at Leo carefully — well, he didn’t have much of a choice seeing as how his head had been turned — wondering what emotions were showing on his face. Leo seemed to be analyzing him in some way, and it was putting on slightly on the edge. It was like he was an open book to Leo, and Ashton wasn’t too sure how he felt about that. He didn’t like people looking at him too long. There was only so much he was good at hiding, and when someone looked at him as openly and intently as Leo was now, he was sure that he’d be able to see most everything that was playing in his head.

“I just…am.” He said helplessly, starting to become frustrated with himself. “I’m trying, I really am. But it’s like…I’ve always thought I was, y’know, straight. And then suddenly I’m not. It’s a lot to take in. It’s like if I told you that the sky isn’t blue, it’s actually red. It just…” He let out a frustrated breath as he tried to find the words that kept escaping him. “It’s new and confusing. I’m doing my best to keep up with it all, but it’s a lot.” When Leo mentioned Ashton starting to get tired of being confused, he chuckled, though it had a bitter undertone to it. “You can say that again,” He muttered, sighing and shifting slightly underneath Leo. “But I know I can talk to you about it. And thanks for that.”

Cheering Up || Jeremy & Ashton

jeremy-lewis:

Jeremy looked into Ashton’s eyes while the tear dribbled from his eyes. He tried to think positively, but it was just too overwhelming, having a chance of losing the only parent he has in his life. He didn’t know what to say or do. Ashton’s grip on his hand kept him in reality rather than letting him space out and loathe on the horrid news. “I… I guess…” He said, the terrible fear of losing his father showing through his tone. “But… What if he doesn’t?” Jeremy said in a more depressing tone than previously. Right now, Jeremy was at his most vulnerable state. He didn’t care though. He trusts Ashton with his life, so this was one of the more… Intimate moments that they’d probably have.

The innocence on Jeremy’s face was just too over bearing. The factor that he was practically going to lose his father meant that he was going to lose himself at any giving moment. The thoughts of the accident that had happened had appeared as gruesome details in Jeremy’s sick and twisted imagination. How could he even picture it? Not even he could answer that, but it brought him satisfaction, knowing that it was something real, rather than something as stupid as over dosing on a drug, or worse, drowning or hanging himself. Of course, Jeremy knew his father would never do such a thing, but it was still a demented comfort to know that it was an accident rather than someone doing it on purpose.

Jeremy pulled Ashton closer to him, sobbing into his shoulder. He was lost, like a puppy on the streets. He didn’t know what to do, and obviously talking was not going to help him much at this point. The only thing he could think to do was to go to the Hospital where his dad was at. But Jeremy knew better. His father practically disowned him, but it didn’t mean Jeremy didn’t care about his dad. Even if his dad paid no heed to him. “Tell me… What I should do…” Jeremy whispered into Ashton’s shoulder as he practically soaked Ashton’s shirt with tears.

Ashton hated seeing him like this; so torn and broken that he was scared he wouldn’t be able to piece him back together. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t still try. When Jeremy asked what would happen if his father didn’t get better, he shook his head. “Don’t think about it,” He said, looking at him intently. “You need to be hopeful. Thinking about the worst thing that can happen won’t help solve anything, I promise you that much. So just…don’t give up yet, okay?” He said, giving his hand another squeeze.

As Jeremy moved closer and leaned on his shoulder, he maneuvered his arm so it was behind his back, holding him close. He rubbed his back gently, trying to calm him down some. “It’ll be okay,” He said quietly, keeping his voice as gentle and soothing as he could. The more confident and calm he was, he hoped that it might help Jeremy feel a little better. But when Jeremy asked him what he should do, his face faltered for a second before he pulled it back, and was happy that Jeremy couldn’t see it. What was he supposed to say? Ashton was never really great in situations like this, but he knew he would try his hardest to help Jeremy. “What should you do?” He repeated thoughtfully, trying to buy himself some more time. “I think you should not beat yourself up over it. You weren’t there. There’s no way you could have stopped it.” He pointed out, biting his lip as he tried to think. “You just need to be positive. I know you probably think that’s the shittiest advice ever, but sometimes a little hope goes a long way.” God, he sounded like a Hallmark card. But maybe Jeremy would be able to see past the cheesiness and find the actual meaning to the saying. That’s all he could hope for.

Cheering Up || Jeremy & Ashton

jeremy-lewis:

When Ashton had hugged him, Jeremy held him a little longer than intended. But eventually, Ashton pulled out of the hug and revealed Jeremy’s favorite movie of all time. Jeremy smiled at the gesture. “You didn’t have to buy it ya know.” Jeremy said, a feint laughter coming out of his tone. At Ashton’s gesture, Jeremy sat down next to him. His eyes seemed to darken a bit more as he sat in the silence. The thoughts coursing through his mind weren’t pure at all. He had half of a mind to kill someone for what happened to his father, but he wouldn’t because of the amount of trouble he would be in. He shook his head, trying not to think about the news he had received.

Jeremy leaned back, still needing more of a hug than the one he had already gotten, but he wouldn’t allow himself to get it until he told Ashton what had happened. Before he could even try to piece the words together, the movie had already begun. Jeremy just halfway paid attention to the movie. It was more of him spacing out, staring at the ground. That’s when people typically knew it was REALLY bad. Finally, Jeremy worked up the courage to speak. He took a deep breath before saying anything, and suddenly his eyes filled with tears.

“My… My dad… He got into a serious car crash… His driver wasn’t paying close enough attention, and a big truck hit my dad’s side..” He said as tears started to fall. “The doctors said… He might not make it…” Jeremy continued to cry.

Ashton settled himself on the couch, letting himself get lost in the movie. It was harder said than done though; he was always aware of the fact that Jeremy seemed more interested with the floor than the movie. Obviously something was still eating at him, and he bit his lip, telling himself to wait it out. Jeremy would tell him when he was ready; rushing him and forcing him to tell him before he was ready. And so Ashton waited, trying his best to pay attention to the movie. It was pretty good, and he could see why Jeremy liked it so much. After a bit though, Jeremy took a deep breath, and Ashton immediately looked over at him, giving him his full attention, aware he was about to speak.

And sure enough, only a second after, Jeremy finally told him what was wrong. His heart hurt for the other, and it only broke even more when he started to cry. He couldn’t even imagine losing his dad. The two were pretty close, and he missed him sometimes just being far away. But if he ever lost him forever…that’s a whole different realm of pain. “I’m so sorry, Jeremy.” He said quietly, scooting closer to him and hesitating briefly before taking his hand in his. He squeezed his hand gently, trying to offer him some kind of comfort. “But at least there’s still a chance he can make it, right? That’s better than nothing.”
